Our founder, Mat Simmons (aka Mat The Maker), started Apex Custom Fabrication because he wasn’t the type of person who could work for someone else, doing the same thing, day in and day out. He decided that he was either going to resign himself to a lifetime of doing work that wasn’t challenging, and therefore unfulfilling, or he would venture out on his own. Obviously, Mat decided on the latter approach, and thus Apex Custom Fabrication was born.
Mat knew that the demand for custom craftsmanship was high, but even his lofty expectations were blown away. Indeed, Apex Custom Fabrication started out as a one-man shop, but that didn’t last long — we now have 3 craftsmen bringing our customers high-quality artisanship.
